The Evergreen Quartet creates an air of sophistication at any occasion or event, comprising of a collective of dedicated jazz musicians hailing from the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne. Their smooth sound, featuring delicately wrought vocals and a finely tuned rhythm section make their music both charming and immediately engaging.

Having performed at Melbourne’s premiere jazz and lounge venues (Paris Cat, Bennett’s Lane, Manchester Lane, Dizzy’s Jazz Club, Blue Diamond, Scarlet Bar) as well as in corporate settings and hotels (Le Meridian, Rialto Towers, Langham Hotel), The Evergreen Quartet replicate the sounds of the golden jazz era with elegance and style.

Meeting amongst the congregation of creative’s whilst studying at the Victorian College of the Arts, the quartet found themselves performing together with increasing frequency, demand and to high acclaim, with members of the group receiving the Gwen Nisbet Music Scholarship and the VCA Jazz Series Prize in their graduating year.

Their sound is marked by the greatest of influences; suggestions of Ella Fitzgerald, Lena Horne, Carmen McRae and Dave Brubeck all finding their way into the group’s collective sound.

The Evergreen Quartet also performs as a drumless trio (The Evergreen Trio – vocals, bass, piano) and also as a vocal and piano duo.
