Snood
Bio
George Giampietri and Julian Thompson have been Melbourne based musicians for over a decade, playing in a variety of successful cover and original outfits.
From international touring, to local corporate acts George and Julian bring a wealth of talent and experience to their live performance. Being best friends, with the reputation for ʻmad humourʼ and ʻchemistryʼ, George and Julian decided to finally join forces and form ʼSnoodʼ, with the concept of playing a diverse mix of styles that encompasses both popular songs along with some rarer gems not often covered
in limited repertoires.
Georgeʼs fantastic vocal range covers a vast range of musical possibilties such as Jeff Buckley, U2, Silverchair, Powderfinger and Keane. Together with Julianʼs outstanding guitar playing, introducing another level of melodic and rhythmic inventivness to the music, Snood offers a high quality performance that seperates them from the average acoustic duo. SNOODʼs repertoire consists of over a 100 songs and is constantly being updated to keep things fresh and exciting not only for the guys, but for their audience.
